Rumors from the Ass

Past Rumors (07/25/2000):

before i get on with the rumours, a couple teams have re-signed key free agents. tim thomas of the bucks and rashard lewis of the sonics were both retained. the bulls were interested in both players but got neither. man, krause must reek because he couldn't sign a donkey to shit on the court @ half time if he had to. any thoughts??

word out of bean town has tariq abdul wahad going from denver to boston in a three-way (sounds kinda kinky). dana barros and some draft choices would be going to denver and the clips would be getting a choice or two along with 'neon' keon clark from denver in exchange for derek anderson. staying with the celtics, pitino has talked with former celtic ron mercer, but has told him that he should look for a place that mercer can call home for a long time. mercer is looking @ san antone and and sac town (both teams need a scoring presence @ the 2guard spot). ron has also spoke with the bulls (but what free agent hasn't??). ron might end up in sac town. they have a good rep with younger players and not having to play defence.

the clips may not be done after that kinky trade with the celtics and the nuggets. another rumour has them sending their 3rd overall draft, darius miles, for juwan howard, chris whittney (who the fuck is he??)and some cash. i can kinda see this one happening, but not really. michael jordan would love to mold miles into an mj proto-type and the clips need a bona-fide pf, but do they really get one in howard. what do you think??

news from the gund arena in cleveland has offering shawn kemp for either allan houston or latrell sprewell. new york said the same thing that the told the blazers, thanks but no thanks. also, brevin knight may be throwing lobs to ghill and tmac in orlando. it seems as if orlando might be willing to to trade mercer and matt harpring for knight and andrew declerq.

eddie jones might just become the newest member of the heat. also, they might not have to give up too much in return other than a couple of bench players. however, the hornets are trying to get some more for their value and are trying to send him back to la for better players. all's that i can say is that if the heat get eddie and don't give a starter (like pj brown or jamal mashburn) then the hornets are the single most half-witted team in the nba, past, present or future (which includes the clippers of the past). one word: damn.

the latest news out of TO has possibly austin croshere heading north of the boarder to replace the departed tmac. since losing out on cuttino mobley and rashard lewis, the raptors have turned to their 3rd choice. my only aprehension is that croshere is more of a pf than a sf.

chris webber said something that no king's fan ever wanted to hear. he said: "I see Grant Hill doing his thing, I see Tracy McGrady ... I'd love to play in New York....I'm very interested. I know I may have to sacrifice. I'd love to play here......I love playing with Vlade and Jason but Spree was my boy long before I got to Sacramento, I would love to play with Spree. Wherever I go, I want to win a championship." this has teams such as miami, dallas, and detroit thinking that that they might just save their money for next season. webber could be the best free agent available next year on a list that includes mutombo's 7 language speakin ass, finley and drobb.
